Dallan and Natalie The cute family. I'm sure glad they could visit!

Pie Time

Image
From this... To this- pumpkin, cherry, pecan. Zane made a chocolate pudding pie too. We still have pies waiting to be eaten. Looks like I need to give some away!

High School Musical

Image
Yesterday we went to the high school production of this play. It was put on by the St. Anthony students. It was cute and colorful. Not like Broadway, but OK... Lori and Rilee were in front of us and I caught Lori doing a little snoozing! Zane's wife Victoria and her daughter Faye came with us... Lori's new hair asessories to display. On the way home I had the most fun! We just let the digital camera snap away... I was laughing so hard I was crying! Faye is behind me and Madison has the big nostrils with Rilee looking up. Crazy fun! Let's do it again sometime. :)

Traces of Gladys

Image
I thought this was cute. How could things stranded on the floor be cute? Well, today Dale moved the ottoman in our office and this was what was underneath. The movie represents all the videos Gladys enjoyed while living here this summer, the crayon how she liked to draw; the animal crackers and Cheerios were what she munched on during the day, and the baton was used to create noise in an otherwise too quiet home. I guess I need to do better vacuuming under the furniture!

This is my son Cole and his cute family (Jenna and Holdem). They stopped by for lunch on Saturday and then were on their way to a cabin in Island Park. Sounds like a nice weekend getaway to me.

Colors in the sky

Image
I started to fix dinner and this is what I saw out my kitchen window! Today I am thankful for beautiful sunsets.

My Bag

Image
I thought I'd try my hand at making bags. I made a few changes to the pattern and I think it will work for a nice carryall to take things to church. I definitely would not make these to sell. Fabric is too expensive nowadays and I don't have the time for mass production!

Potato Bar

Image
. First you bake the potatoes Then cook the hamburger... Add a grandpa and a Holdem... Sprinkle in Lori and Kyler with Holdem... Add Danny, Cole and Jenna... and you have a Saturday lunch at the Wrights!

Rilee's play

Image
You can't see it very good, but Rilee is one of the three (on the left). She was dressed up as a cat and did a dance with the two other girls. It was a play about Columbus. (I think she was a mouser on the ship. :)

School time

Image
I wanted to show the cute bag that my friend Lue sent me. I use it for my school business and it was a fun surprise to get in the mail.

Beginnings

Image
This is looking out at our back yard one morning. I think winter has begun!
Image
Canning pumpkins was the first thing Dale and I canned together as a young couple. It was his idea to puchase the pressure cooker so many years ago and we still use it today. I love the orange color. We ended up with 23 pints of pumpkin for our storage. Of course, I wasn't without my blunder...the pumpkin seeds got burnt because I forgot to set the timer! (I had to throw them away :( Bummer!

Voting Day

Image
As I was leaving for work, I looked out to the front yard and there was the flag blowing in the wind, reminding me that this was a special day. Luckily, I already voted last week at the County Office. Dale tried to go vote tonight after work and he was standing in line 50 minutes and it took less than 2 minutes to actually do the voting. There were 8 booths and only 2 people were voting. They said the holdup was the people who were registering to vote because they would fill out the cards and then had to get their ID's checked. Luckily Dale had his ITouch with him and he watched a movie while he waited in line. It's better to vote ahead of time :)

Craft Show Fun

Image
I don't know who this was but she was happy to have the flowered headband so I had to take a picture. The cutest cupcakes/pin cushions ever! Good job Lori!

Happy Customers!

Image
The craft show went well...especially for Lori. Little and big girls went crazy for the flowered headbands. Plus, she sold a lot of her lip gloss purses and became quite the salesperson! Time went fast even though we were there 8 hours. Chad helped set up and was a big help. These cute girls were hesitant to wear the headbands but they all ended up getting one and they all looked great! They loved the cupcakes too.

Costume night

Image
Dale is wearing his usual Halloween costume and this year I decided to dress up. I have on a yellow t-shirt and green stockings under a red sheer "something." I don't know what it was supposed to be but it had a tale like a pitch fork. Add a sequined headband and wah lah... a scary grandma handing out candy! Zane and his family stopped by after going to Lori's home. Faye looks tired but she perked up when the cousins came over and they sat down to count the candy!
