Art and Jan on the back deck. These are my husband's awesome parents. They were here for a week. We loved eating lunch and dinner outside. Such great weather. Apple pie for dessert. That is one thing Art loves to eat. Would you believe Jan here is 90 years old? She is playing on the keyboard for a few minutes. She used to play the violin and knows enough of the piano to just plunk away. We enjoyed their visit. More pictures coming. . .

Anthro Bedspread

Here's Rilee's new bedspread from Anthropology. New paint on the walls, cute colors on the bed- happy girl in the room.

The Mice Will Play

Image
Playing at the Nature Park on a beautiful day. Duke even got in the picture. This little guy Kyler was missing last Thursday night. All the neighbors frantically looked for him. . . it ended up that Kyler fell asleep in Lori's studio under a table and was found after he woke up! My leg looks weird but oh well. The three Stooges. Rilee relaxing in the sun.

A Madison Pedicure

Image
Making my toes cute. This is Madison my grand-daughter. She and her two siblings spent a few days with us. I got to have a pedicure. Thanks Madison!

Vera Bradley Knockoff

Image
I couldn't help myself. . . I really like the Vera Bradley purses because they are so colorful and fun looking and very well made. This is my version of a knockoff. I found a pattern I liked and bought some quilted fabric at Hancock Fabric in IF. I spent $25 BUT it will make two purses. I was bummed about spending that much but as I laid out the pattern pieces I realized it would make two. This is what I came up with. It actually looks different from the pattern because I made some changes. I have been using a green diaper bag as a purse because I liked all the pockets! Sewing knowledge comes in handy once in a while. It will do for now until I can afford a Vera. . .

My Buddies for the day

Image
The other day I got to watch these fun, three kiddies. It's Holdem, Rilee, and Kyler. They wanted to go to the skateboard park. Luckily there wasn't anyone there last Friday because we all just ran around on the cement hills. I was a little worried someone would fall and scrape their head up but no one did! After feeding the ducks and running around on at the nature park we went to Porter Park and I shot a couple photos of the grandchildren on the carousel. Holdem is sitting on the little bench behind Rilee and Kyer. He didn't want to go up and down, just round and round. It was really a fun day for all of us.

Fun day at Porter Park

This was such a fun day for me. I had with me Rilee, Kyler and Holdem. We went to a yard sale, played at Porter Park, and went to McDonalds. I think they probably slept well that night...I know I did!

New Boy Store

Image
I think this is the only store in Rexburg that Dale likes to go to. It is called Expedition Firearms. This is Dale counting out his hard earned money to buy a weapon he has wanted for about 3 years. E Dale enjoys his hobby as a reserve police officer and I admire the way he waited until we had the house paid off and he had the cash in hand. Way to go Dale!

Monkey Falls

Image
Last week Kimball wanted to go to Monkey Falls. One monkey, two pretty ladies. :) Kyler and Holdem enjoyed throwing rocks in the water best of all. The water was freezing cold but they liked it anyway!

Spray Park

Image
Rexburg has something fun. . . It's the SPRAY PARK! Here's my son Cole and his son Holdem enjoying a warm day at Porter Park. Holdem and Kyler took a ride on the carousel. Kyler ended up standing on the horse and Holdem wasn't sure he liked it or not. It isn't a swimming pool but it's water and children like water!

Congrats Lori

Lori was featured on a blogspot called classycosmetics today. Way to go Lori!
