Celebrate!

Image
Hey everyone! We are celebrating at lunch in Idaho Falls because we did something big! 06 LOAN PAYMENT stand for our Beehive Camry car loan... We paid it off on May 20! Woohoo! What a good feeling that is! I don't ever want another car payment. Thanks Dave Ramsey for your motivation.

Live Event

Image
We were able to enjoy a Dave Ramsey Live Event in SLC May 15. He was very entertaining and gave us a lot of hope of getting out of debt. I had already read many of his books and my son Dallan turned me on to listening to his podcasts so I was converted... Marg attended it with us. So nice to have her there too so we could both get pumped up about it. She's lucky though...she's been debt free for many years. Dale wasn't so thrilled about being there but after attending he felt it was good and now he's on board. I will soon be posting a picture of us cutting up our one and only credit card.

Never Thought it Would Happen

Image
This is my sister Marg in the red outfit and she is awesome. We attended her retirement party in Utah where she has been teaching 30 + years. I just never figured she would retire but since she has one grandchild and one on the way, she thinks it is time! She looks great and here she is singing a song with a group of ladies she has performed with at Utah Jazz games.

Too Exciting!!!!

Lori's family and I gathered at Judy, her friend's home early on May 22... Anticipation was great! Lori was featured on Good Morning America! (Click here to see the segment.) It was fun to watch together but Chad was hilarious. Mandy told him, "Chad, do you realize you were on national TV eating a grill cheese sandwhich?" Lori makes women's assessories and sells them on etsy.com under missrubysue label. My daughter-in-law Natalie first got her started in it and it has been a good way for Lori to suppliment their family's income. Congrats Lori! We hope your sales boom instead of bomb!

Returning to the Temple

Image
On the weekend of May 15 Dale and Iwent to Utah. We thought it would be fun to stop by the Ogden, Utah temple where we were married 36 years ago. It looks pretty much the same but I look a little different...I'm blessed to be about 60 lbs lighter than when I got married! Somehow Dale saw through the extra padding I had and loved me anyway. Now he has a little extra padding... Oh well, he still looks good to me.

The Four Wright Generations

Image
It was great to have Dallan and his family to be with us when Art and Jan were here visiting. Matthew is in front, Dale on the left, Dallan in the middle and Art on the right. Four great guys!

Two Jans in a Salon

Image
This is my mother-in-law Jan Wright along with me before I took her to get a pedicure. It was fun to go to the day spa here in Rexburg together. I thought it would be a nice Mother's Day event. I chose pink and Jan chose blue for the toenail polish. She said it was the first time she ever had her toes painted and also the first time to wear flip flops. She was delightful (age 89 too!) and we enjoyed seeing the reaction on her husband Art's face!

Happy Birthday to you!

Dallas and Margaret at Chad's birthday celebration. They came all the way from Richfield, Idaho, to be there with Chad on his 40th. Lori and Chad here eating their dinner. Chad looks great for turning 40!

A New Start

Image
I planted these cute seedlings on March 28th. I thought I'd try some broccoli, squash, tomatoes, and cabbage. After a while, the seedlings grew so I made some pots out of newspaper and got them growing in something bigger. I am hoping to sell some of the starts to get a return on my expenses like the Miracle Grow soil I got. I guess we'll see how it goes. This was grown from my garden last year. It is the best "spaghetti" you can eat--spaghetti squash. Plus, it has lasted 9 months in my food storage room! Because of its hard skin, it stores very well. So grow spaghetti squash in your garden. It tastes great with spaghetti sauce on it and goes great with meatballs!
