A Driggs Christmas

Image
This is Lori and some of her children Madison, Rilee, and Kyler with their matching Christmas PJs. Lori and Chad invited us to come up to their Driggs home. We had a very nice time. Hopefully Dale will email me some of the pictures he took with his camera. I got these two shot before my battery died. Good times!

Cole & Jenna

Image
My son Cole and his little family stopped by for a visit. I love it when they come because Cole makes me laugh. Jenna looks cute and it is easy to see where Holdem gets his beautiful eyes. . . It's always a pleasure to hold a grandchild.

Miracle Worker

Image
These are my shoes I bought at the Lehi, Utah, DI last summer. There were no flowers on them but I liked the color red. Lori fixed them up right for me. She makes the rosettes to add pizzazz. I hope to wear them to church soon with a polka dot dress. It's kind of scary wearing all this color... I'm used to black shoes, skirts, etc. Time to step out in the color zone! (Pun intended!)

Odin Wright

Image
Proud grandparents Dale and Jan. He is so cute! I loved holding him. I would like to introduce Zane's first son. Odin joins big sisters Faye age 8 and Peyton age 2.

New Baby

Image
We visited Zane and his family on Sunday and here he is... Odin Ephrem Wright with parents and older sister Faye. We were all surprised he had some hair and were grateful everything went well with the birth. Congratulations to Zane and Victoria!

Birthday for Kyer

Image
Kyler had a birthday on the 14th. He was so happy to have a snowmachine toy on top of the cake. Kyler turned 4 years old. Happy Birthday to you!

Archuleta Concert

Image
A couple weeks ago Lori, Rilee, Madison, and Lori's friend Judy and her two children and I went to a david archuleta concert in which he did some of his Christmas songs. We had a good time and I am grateful for girl-time.

Happy Customers

Image
These are pictures of some college students that came to the headband party last week. These girls were the ones who had the party at the Ridge apts. They met Lori at the craft show in November. They were pretty happy with their purchases. We had a nice time visiting with them. Maybe Lori will be doing more headband parties around campus!

Stockman's

Image
What a nice company dinner at the Stockman's Restaurant in Rigby. I highly recommend it to anyone. This is the lower half of the fruit platter appetizer. Great food! I had some good tasting salmon and Dale had a sirloin steak. I hope we can go there again sometime.

Welcome!

Born December 12, 2009 Odin Ephrem Wright! This little boy is our 14th grandchild. This is picture is one of my favorites Zane sent me. Odin was a born at home with a midwife to help out. Weighing in at 7 lb 1 oz. Good job Victoria! Welcome to the family little one!

This was on my Camry display the other day. It felt cold too! Snow squeeks at this temperature.

Pass the Fries

Here's Chris's other Etch-a-Sketch masterpiece. Lunch anyone?

Etching a Sketch

Image
This is Chris who works at the junior high in our Extended Resource room. He created this sketch. He also did a picture of a hamburger and fries. And this is Walter, one of our students. He likes to use my I-Touch to watch movies. Some days, this is how we keep the students happy!

Can Do

Image
This is the way to get some canning done...at the cannery in IF. We did some dry pack canning so that we could purchase the awesome salsa and spaghetti squash that they do. We give service, then we can buy the goods. I like their dried onions, dried apples, and dried carrots. Dale enjoyed the process- easy, automated, and efficient and oh, so worth it!

Turkey Choir

Image
Each year on Thanksgiving day there's something I just have to do ...and that is attend the Turkey Choir Concert. It is a community choir organized with Kendell Nielsen directing and his wife Elaine at the piano. The choir was fabulous! The concert is held at the historic Rexburg Tabernacle with vintage wood benches, ornate radiator heating, and colorful stained glass windows. I went early on Thursday to make sure I could get a good place to sit and to save a spot for my daughter Lori and her two daughters Rilee and Madison. I was there long enough to hear a child behind me exclaim to his parents, "Mom, Charley is messing with the spotlights up in the balcony!" The guys in our family are not into the music of the holidays so much and they could be found at the Rexburg shooting range making lots of noise aiming at targets and clay pigeons. Dale put them through a series of aiming exercises that the police train with. They were happy out there bonding and us girls were cont

I Forget

Image
I forget what this is called but they were doing this outside the junior high in between two trees. This is the gal that brought the webbing line. She was good at it. This student not so good! This stident fell off too but they had a good time. I didn't attempt try it. No way!

Junior High Cockroaches

Image
No, this cockroach is NOT the new Madison Junior High mascot! It came to visit our school by way of Brother Zenger from BYU-I insect specialist. The librarian asked him to bring some of his specimens to the school to show. One of our students, Jade, was brave enough to hold the huge cockroach during lunchtime. Bro. Zenger was my biology teacher when I was going to college a couple years ago and it was funto see him. He enjoyed seeing how the students reacted to his insect display.

Sunday Skype

Image
How fun to see and visit with my daughter Mandy and her family. They live in Hawaii and every once in a while we get online and Skype. It is a great way to see the children and catch up on what is new. Here we have Gladys (who just turned 3), Mandy, baby Frankie, and Kelvin. (Kelvin and Frankie have matching t-shirts.) Cuteness!

Rent Free

Image
We have a pest living rent free in our food storage room. At least he is eating healthy. Hopefully the little varmit will go to a better land very soon once he gets caught in the mouse trap. Nobody messes with my honey crisp!

The Countdown

Image
We are excited to work on our project of getting out of debt. Only the house is left to pay off. I made a poster with a picture of our home and words at the bottom to color in as we pay toward the principle. Dale got to color in the first 5 squares the other day! Hopefully in about 8 months when all the squares are colored in, we will be calling Dave Ramsey to say, "WE'RE DEBT FREEEEE!

Veteran's Day

Thanks to all the veterans who sacrifice to protect our freedoms.

Scary faces having a good time. Madison and Rilee enjoying the lights of the flash. Oh dear! Ah hah. You go girl!
